How to make a gift registry with Sortd

Store registries tie you to one retailer. With Sortd you can put the homewares, the experience and the one-off piece from a small shop on the same registry, and guests can see all of it from a single link.

   Create a list and choose Registry

   In Sortd, create a new list and set it to Registry. You can also switch an existing list to a registry from its settings.

   Add gifts from any store

   Save products from almost any online store, so your registry isn't limited to one retailer's range. Add a note to an item if guests need details.

   Share your registry link

   Send the link to guests, or add it to your invitation. Anyone with the link can see the registry without an account.

   Guests reserve what they will buy

   A guest signs in and reserves a gift. Everyone else then sees it as reserved, so nothing gets bought twice.

   Keep track as gifts are reserved

   Sortd lets you know as reservations come in and shows which gifts are reserved. Gift givers stay anonymous, so the surprise of who gave what is kept.

• Guests need a free Sortd account to reserve a gift, but anyone can view the registry.
• A registry is shared by link rather than listed publicly on Sortd.
• Switching a registry back to a normal list stops guests from reserving items, so do it after the event.
